Namaskara: Practice of Daily Self-affirmation

For well over 2,550 years, the practice of Namaskara has been followed as one’s daily self-reaffirmation of sraddha in the Buddha as the Supremely Self-enlightened Teacher. To reiterate, the Namaskara Salutation empowers a person to skillfully and diligently practice the Buddha Dhamma in daily life, by strengthening her or his inner resolve.

In order to actualize one’s spiritual and mundane aspirations in life, one recalls the Buddha’s perfect, unblemished character and unsurpassed virtues. At the same time, one is reminded to commit one’s self-effort in practicing the Sublime Dhamma.
